Dust Ideas..

I tried to create a campaign for the slogan/ design so linked it the the "Act on CO2" to give a finished look.

Trying to communicate a message about dust though using it as a material. I decided to collect ash and communicated the message about rising CO2 emissions which is a big topic constantly in the news. I think that this works better then trying to add text to the image which wasn't very successful.

Dust

Using dust/ ash as a material to convey messages about its form. What is dust? what makes dust? and how can we relate to the material through our own identity? I've used dust to communicate messages by changing its shape using type. I decided to use ash a form of dust which was created after burning coal which i found as it was easy to work with creating the type.

Distorting the Image

Using the pictures that i have collected i distorted and changed them to create a new and different effect. The final image is interesting and portrays a different representation of the substance.

Oil

Pouring oil into a glass of water.... The final outcome is really beautiful, in how the oil and water dont mix allowing the oil to create really interesting shapes before it separates back to the top.

Water

Pouring water from the tap.. This shows small individual water particles and the ripples of water movement which are really beautiful.

Light

Loopy lights.... Moving the lights around and changing the shutter speed i have captured fine light movement with really interesting and unique results.

Life

Mind the Gap
How can you add text to an image? Type can completely change the perception of an image or it can help the viewer to understand the image. Therefore with my images i have decided to add type that relates to the image by either adding words of things that should be in the image or represent the overall surroundings and environment of what's being represented in the image. Such as on the Tube you always here "Mind the Gap" allowing the audience to relate their own experiences to the image a "personal relationship"
