French translation

Playing around and creating designs for small cards advertising exhibitions but in french. Not really sure where i'm going but looking at fonts, colours, layouts etc. These were inspired by images from my sisters blog and work shes done.

Starting my Summer project

Finally i've started to think about my summer project. I find it quite daunting that this is the first uni project and want to make a good impression. The whole project is on living in opposition of yourself. The way i like to look at is breaking your own boundaries. Doing or forfilling something that you would never have thought you could do. As a starting point i've been looking at languages especially french due to my upcoming trip to Paris at the end of the month. How can i use and understand the language- teach the reader- break the boundary. Lets see how far i can go.. i was also interested in using photography and exploring/ being a tourist in my own town what can i find? watch this space.. Top picture of playing around on indesign with type and layout, however i would like to step away from the computer and try not to use it and make and explore with materials.

In The Deep Exhibition

Last Monday me and my sister went to the In the Deep exhibition at the Natural History Museum which was really interesting and amazing to see some of these weird fish! Its worth a vist! The whole day was amazing from visits to the Natural History Museum to the V&A, shopping in high street Kensington and oxford street and a lovely evening meal followed by a walk up Marylebone high street. The whole weekend was the best as my sister Millie found out she got a First! for her graphic design degree.. too hard for me to live up to! Well Done! www.milliescarlettdavies.com

The End ..

I can't believe that i have finished my foundation in art and design. There have been ups and downs and times when i just wanted to give up, but im so glad i didn't. I've made some really good friends this year and have so many memories that i have forever. Making 5 sketchbooks, 2 learning journals, 4 portfolios 15 books and thousands of photos. I have learnt so many new skills and techniques that i will be able to use during my degree. I feel i have grown and improved as a person and can't wait to start a new chapter in Brighton.

Development

These were the only two out of my six try outs that are not too bad. More difficult to do then i first thought.
